You're A Puzzle
(Dave Schaffer)

I wish Picasso were here to paint you
Perhaps his portrait would help explain you
'Cause you're a puzzle
Complex and subtle
And I sure struggle with just who you are

What hues would Pablo chose to paint you?
What shades so subtle illuminate you?
Dandelion yellow?
Pale green, so mellow?
Poor Pablo fellow, he'd just get confused
The puzzle seems to have no clues

Who are you?
A puzzle without clues?
Paint me blue
The painter who loves you

What colors rage inside your mind
What hue of sadness do I live to find there

Although Picasso couldn't paint you
I'll still go ponder and contemplate you
My brush is waiting
Anticipating
The day I chose to paint again
Your portrait will be one I'm in

Who are you?
A puzzle without clues?
Paint me blue
The painter who loves you
Who are you?
A puzzle without clues?
Paint me blue
The painter who loves you
The painter who loves you
Oh, the painter who loves you
